International transport between Spain and Switzerland
Every day, millions of freight forwarding transactions take place all over the world. Imports and exports are carried out almost without limits. In addition, it is common to move goods from one country to another regardless of the distance between them.
Sometimes the distance between nations is so close that importing or exporting products and goods can take less than 24 hours. This happens thanks to logistics operators like Logisber, which everyday works to ship by land, sea and air.
The movement of goods between nearby countries like Switzerland and Spain is very common, either to send products between them or because they serve as a transit point to travel between Africa and Eastern Europe. Many operators pass through Swiss or Spanish territory looking for a port to transport goods by ship or an airport terminal to do it by air.
In this sense, air transport has helped to shorten transit times. On the other hand, maritime and land transport tend to take longer due to physical and natural factors.
Sending goods between countries inside and outside the European Union
When carrying out this type of movement of goods, it must be taken into account that Spain is part of the European Union (EU), but Switzerland is not. Borders are open by road in the EU and it is necessary for carriers to consider tolls, tariffs and regulations when crossing the Swiss border.
For its part, customs at ports and airports must have the documentation required by the European authorities. If the goods arrive from outside the EU, they will be subject to the relevant control at the customs office of entry. Once the cargo has been checked in Spain, it can be transported to Switzerland.
