Logisber joins the EU’s Moves III Program

At Logisber, we have always been committed to operational efficiency and optimizing our logistics services to improve the shipping experience, but also to reducing our impact on the environment.

Precisely for this reason, we apply green logistics to our customers’ supply chains and analyze shipping routes and internal processes to make them more efficient. We work with our external and internal stakeholders to build more agile, digital, and sustainable logistics.

That is why in 2023 we decided to take a step forward and launch a special campaign to contribute to improving people’s wellbeing and preserving the environment.

Through the 12 resolutions for 12 months campaign, every month we carry out various actions to reduce emissions and contribute to the circular economy. In line with January’s resolution to reduce our carbon footprint in the office, we thought of some ideas for reducing emissions and promoting sustainable mobility in the office.

One of the most noteworthy initiatives linked to our core business was the installation of three electric chargers in the car park of our head office, located in Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona).

We opted for Wallbox chargers made by a Spanish startup specializing in fast electric chargers that operate using state-of-the-art intelligence. These advanced chargers can deliver up to 22 kW of power, providing up to 10 times faster charging for electric vehicles.

This sustainable initiative was made possible thanks to Logisber’s adhesion to the Moves III Plan, an aid program to promote electric mobility, managed by the Institute for Diversification and Savings (IDAE), a body affiliated with the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), and financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

plan moves

This plan, framed within the European Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, was launched in 2021 with an initial budget of 400 million euros, and subsequently increased to 1.2 billion, of which 876 million were transferred to Spanish autonomous communities for their final distribution.

In Catalonia this budget, managed by the Generalitat, has been earmarked to encourage the purchase of electric vehicles and promote the installation of recharging infrastructure for them.

In November 2022 we installed 4 chargers for 10 parking spaces. Since then, several people in the Barcelona office have charged their vehicles using the Wallbox chargers, which have supplied around 8,700 kW of energy.
